108 - The Horse and the Hostler

Back
Next

There was a hostler who was stealing and leading to selling the barley of his horse; but on the other hand, the entire day he was cleaning him and brushing him to show him as the best horse.

One day the horse said to him:

"If really you want that I turn out to be beautiful, do not steal the barley that is for my food."

Take care to whom much flatters or praises you, since he is searching for something to take out in return.
