162 - The Fir and the Hawthorn

The fir and the hawthorn were disputing between them.

The fir was boasting saying:
"I am beautiful, slender and high, and I serve to construct the ships and the roofs of the temples. How do you have the bravery of comparing you with me?

"If you should remember, -answered the hawthorn - the axes and the saws that cut you, you would prefer the luck of the hawthorn!"

Always look for the good reputation since it is a big honor, but without boasting for it, and without despising the neighbor.
